Where it helps

Where a scratch cloth helps

Most everyday marks sit in the clear coat, the thin transparent layer on top of the colour.

Light marks, worked out by hand

Scuffs from bags and bicycles, fingernail marks around door handles, light hedge scrapes and paint transfer usually sit in the clear coat. These are the surface marks the seller says the cloth is made for.

A low-cost first try before the body shop

For a light mark, a cloth is an inexpensive first step. If the scratch has gone through the clear coat to the colour, primer or bare metal, no cloth will remove it, and touch-up paint or a body shop is the right call.

Results depend on the scratch

The deeper the mark, the less any polishing cloth can do. Try a small area first, check the result in daylight, and go over it again gently rather than pressing harder.

Good fit

  • Scuffs and paint transfer from bumpers, bins or bicycles
  • Fingernail marks around door handles
  • Light swirl marks and hedge or branch scrapes
  • Dull patches and light marks on the clear coat

Not a fit

  • Scratches your fingernail catches in
  • Scratches showing white primer or bare metal
  • Dents, stone chips and cracked paint
  • Matte paint, wraps and protective film, unless the seller confirms otherwise

The fingernail test: run a nail gently across the scratch. If it does not catch, the mark is probably in the clear coat, where a polishing cloth can help.

In the seller’s words

How the seller describes it

Four points from the seller’s own description, in our words.

Nano-particle formula

The seller says the cloth carries nano-metal powder and polishing agents that work on the clear coat as you rub.

Cleans as it polishes

The seller also lists bird-dropping stains, tar spots and light oxidation among the marks it lifts.

Several uses per cloth

Fold to a fresh part of the cloth as it darkens. One cloth is meant for several small repairs.

No machine needed

Everything is done by hand. Finish by buffing off any residue with a clean microfibre cloth.

Questions

Before you order

How does NanoPolix work?

The seller describes it as a cloth infused with nano-metal powder and polishing agents. Rubbing it over a light mark polishes the clear coat, the transparent top layer of the paint, so light scratches and scuffs become less visible or disappear. It is a polishing product: it works on the surface and does not add paint.

Which scratches can it fix?

Marks in the clear coat: scuffs, paint transfer, fingernail marks around door handles, light swirls and hedge scrapes. If your fingernail catches in the scratch, or you can see primer or bare metal, the damage is deeper than a cloth can polish out and needs touch-up paint or a body shop.

Is it safe for my paint?

The seller says it is suitable for all paint colours. Because it polishes the surface, use light pressure, work on a clean area and try a small, hidden spot first. Avoid matte paint, wraps and protective film unless the seller confirms they are suitable.

How do I use it?

Wash and dry the area, rub the cloth over the mark in small circles with light pressure, then buff away any residue with a clean microfibre cloth. Repeat gently if needed rather than pressing harder. Gloves keep the compound off your hands.

Does it leave residue?

Some residue is normal with polishing cloths. The seller’s own instructions end with buffing the area clean, so keep a clean microfibre cloth to hand.

What will I pay?

The seller sells packs, priced per cloth: £17.48 each for two, £15.73 each for five, £13.98 each for seven and £12.23 each for ten. Prices are in GBP at the seller’s checkout, correct on 12 October 2026. Delivery (£6.95 to £9.90, depending on the pack) is added at checkout and the seller can change prices, so check your total before you pay.

What if I do not like it?

You can return an order within 30 days of receiving it. For a change of mind the cloths must be unused, undamaged and in their original packaging, so a cloth you have used cannot be returned that way; you pay the return postage, and the original delivery charge is not refunded. A damaged, faulty or wrong item is replaced or refunded in full. Contact the seller first: returns need its approval and must go to the address it gives you. The seller handles returns and refunds, not nanopolixguide.info.

How many uses does one cloth give?

The seller describes it as reusable for several small repairs. How far a cloth goes depends on the size and number of marks. Fold to a clean part of the cloth as it darkens.

How long does delivery take?

The seller ships to the UK. Its shipping page estimates 7 to 12 business days after dispatch, and says orders are usually processed within 24 hours. Delivery options and charges are shown at checkout, before you pay.
